The Tribe Opens a New Chapter in Footscray

April 17, 2026

After many years of creating stories from our home base in Geelong, we’re quietly and proudly opening a small office in Footscray.

For us, this isn’t about expanding for the sake of it. It’s about being closer to the people and businesses we love working with.

Footscray has always had a unique energy. It’s diverse, lively, and deeply creative. From its authentic food scene to its alternative arts culture—live music, street art, thrift fashion, and independent performance spaces—it’s a suburb that tells stories simply by existing. As filmmakers, that’s something we’re naturally drawn to.

We’re also inspired by the strong community of trades and labour businesses in the area. Small operators, family-run services, passionate start-ups—these are the kinds of people we’ve built our work around. Being part of the local fabric means we can better support them with honest, practical video content that helps them grow.

Footscray sits within the City of Maribyrnong, which includes several surrounding suburbs. The council is currently making a big push toward greater arts visibility—supporting galleries, public displays, and local creatives. It feels like a meaningful time to step into local media here, not to lead the charge, but to contribute thoughtfully.

We’re still the same small, experienced team—just with a new desk and a new neighbourhood to serve. If you’re a local business, artist, or organisation in Footscray or the wider Maribyrnong area, we’d love to have a coffee and see how we can help tell your story.

We hope to hear from you soon!
